"When I started painting again in 2002-3 it
was to be the beginning of a journey of re-connection to
landscape in a way I hadn't honoured since I was young. Symbol
and reality merge at the point of inner significance, and I
now look for those doorways of consciousness as the subjects
of paintings. This is completely natural and led only by
feeling. For me the landscape has again become my
guide"
