The journey of ‘temple’ which took four years to complete and which was shown at the Hotbath Gallery, Bath, led to more meditational journeys This time they were in the landscape. The first at Trelissick Gardens was an expression of the wilderness that surrounded the shelter belt of the gardens brought into the highly cultivated gardens as a number of stripped wooden sculptures. Each was an intuitive response to the natural energy of this long-untouched shelter belt, harbouring natural forces and a complete contradiction to the way the gardens are maintained.
